The First Annual CFRA Policy Conference
Families And Communities That Thrive and Succeed:
The Next Generation of Policy Advocacy in California

April 27-28, 2006

Join the California Family Resource Association (CFRA) for our First Annual Policy Conference! Help shape the future of public policy in California and unite with colleagues to advocate for a more comprehensive, prevention oriented approach to supporting families and communities.

This exciting conference launches CFRA as a new statewide membership association of organizations and individuals working to build vibrant communities that put children and families first. Founded in 2005, CFRA advocates for policies, programs and resources that help families stay out of crises, achieve economic success, and prepare their children to succeed in school and life.

CFRA's two-day conference will include workshops, plenary sessions with distinguished keynote speakers and policymakers, and will give you the opportunity to:

  • Forge new alliances with practitioners, public officials, funders, grassroots advocates and others who share your vision!
  • Learn about best practices for advancing family-centered public policy.
  • Generate momentum to move families and communities to the forefront of California's policy making agenda

Information will be available soon describing how you can nominate a policymaker or grassroots advocate who has been a champion for public policy that strengthens and supports families and communities. Awards will be presented at the conference.
